The Springer was a demolition vehicle developed by Nazi Germany during World War II, designed as a small, remote-controlled tankette. Officially known as the Sd.Kfz. 304 Springer, this vehicle was intended to transport explosives directly to enemy positions or obstacles. The Springer was powered by a standard Volkswagen engine, and it carried a payload of around 330 kilograms of explosives. Unlike the smaller Goliath, the Springer could be manned for positioning before remote operation. However, its development came late in the war, and it saw limited use due to the advancing Allied forces and the availability of more effective weapons. While the Springer demonstrated Germany's continued efforts to innovate in military technology, it ultimately had little impact on the war's outcome.
